FOX MEADOW FARM

Established in 1988, Fox Meadow Farm consists of 43+ acres of beautiful, fertile, creek-laced, lush pastures and pine forest trails. The Farm has a total of six 12' x 12', rubber matted, airy stalls. Both individual turn-out and large heard pastures are available. The facility also has a 100' x 200' sand arena, a 100' x 140' grass arena, a covered 60' round pen and a closed-in jump field – great for starting your event horse. Lots of galloping room and a lovely pine trail. The Farm prides itself on being very private and not your typical commercial barn. Offering short and long-term boarding, rehab, rest and recuperation, massage therapy and myofascial therapy. With over 35 years experience in Hunter/Jumpers, Eventing, and Dressage, we specialize in retraining and rehabilitating sport horses. The Farm believes in starting young horses correctly - from the ground up. Located just 7 miles from Tryon International Equestrian Center, Fox Meadow Farm is a 20-minute trailer ride to FENCE and Harmon Field making it a great layover in between show venues.

More about trainer, lecturer Lydia Juenger...
I started in the equitation, hunter/jumper world in 1976, and then eventually moved on to combined training and dressage. After being dissatisfied in the traditional methods of training in the above venues, I began researching “Natural Horsemanship" in the early 80's, and found that this can be an adjunctive or alternative way to be with horses. The term "Natural" has been used loosely and often. The fact is, there is nothing natural in the way most horses and humans interact. However, it is a term that identifies the training techniques that make riders become more naturally cohesive with their horses. I have shared these techniques over the years to bring more peace and harmony to both horse and owner. I provide the education and proper foundation. I am certified in equine sports massage and myofascial release. I have also completed a certification program with Dr. Daniel Kamen on Equine Chiropractic Methods. I was the  former Equine Studies Program Director for the Blue Ridge School of Equestrian Arts (BRSEA).
